About Kellie

Kellie Kirkpatrick has been practicing acupuncture for 17 years.  She holds a Master's Degree from the New England School of Acupuncture and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College.  She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine in Acupuncture Therapy.  Kellie lived and studied Chinese Medicine and Chinese language in Mainland China and Taiwan for close to 2 years.  She taught Chinese Medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture for over 7 years and has been a substitutue supervisor in the student clinic for the New England School of Acupuncture for over 8 years.  In the past, Kellie also practiced acupuncture in public health settings working at the Neponsett Health Clinic and in Brockton and Boston treating people with HIV/AIDS.

Kellie currently considers Jeffrey Yuen her primary teacher in acupuncture and is pursuing studies with him in NYC of essential oils (aromatherapy).  Jeffrey teaches essential oils from the perspective of the Chinese Classics.  Jeffrey is an 88th generation Daoist priest from the Jade Purity tradition.  He was trained in Classical Chinese Medicine since the age of 5.

Kellie often accompanies acupuncture treatment with tuning forks, moxibustion (a pleasant heat therapy common in Chinese medicine), magnets and flower essences.  In the future she will also use essential oils on acupuncture points.

Kellie treats one patient at a time.  This would be a good setting for a patient who is looking for a treatment that is very individualized in a small private practice without distractions.  Kellie tries to make relaxation and a feeling of general well being a benefit of all treatment.  The patient has a choice between silence or music of their choice during the acupuncture session.

Kellie has been practicing homeopathy for 12 years.  She graduated from the Luminos School of Homeopathy (Homeopathic Master Clincian). Homeopathy comes from Europe and was very prominent in our country at one time and has been making a significant renaissance in the past 10 years.  She treats children solely with homeopathy.  To learn more see: http://www.homeopathyvitality.com

Kellie speaks French, intermediate Chinese and some Spanish.
